DELFT HYPERLOOP V
This year Delft Hyperloop did things differently. There was more focus on the scalability of the hyperloop. This was one of the reasons we decided to build a LSM (Linear Synchronous Motor), an innovative propulsion system. Furthermore, a new competition was set up, the EHW (European Hyperloop Week), which took place in Valencia. We organized this competition as well as participated in it. On Sunday 25 July it was announced the Delft Hyperloop V could take home 2 of the 6 competition prizes. Not only had we developed the best mechanical system in our prototype and thus won the Mechanical Award. But we also managed to win the Scalability Award with our scalability studies and designs for hyperloop infrastructure in Amsterdam.
