Team Captain
The team captain holds the final responsibility of the team. Your job is to watch the short-term and long-term strategy of the team. You ensure a collaborative and effective working environment and lead the team towards its final goal. You represent Delft Hyperloop for external parties such as the press and during presentations.

Project Manager
The project manager oversees the allocation of resources in the team. This means you are responsible for the planning and finances of the project. You also play a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential risks to the project, ensuring that we achieve our goals within the year and within budget.

Chief Engineer
The chief engineer oversees and manages all technical aspects of the project. You ensure all subsystems are integrated well, so the team can eventually show a successful demonstration at the European Hyperloop Week.

- Quick learning ability

Lead Business & Operations
The lead business oversees the business department, managing resources to maximize collaboration potential. You are responsible for the alignment across the business functions and the quality and organization of the department. Next to that, you are also responsible for the team's operations, including the logistics of transporting the hyperloop system to the European Hyperloop Week.

Partnerships Manager
As partnerships manager you play an important role in maintaining relationships with both existing and prospective partners of Delft Hyperloop. Your goal is to acquire new partnerships and successfully secure financial resources and valuable assets to ensure the team can realize the construction of a functional pod.

Public Relations Manager
As public relations manager you are responsible for press management, internal and external event coordination, team exposure and communication with external interested parties.

Design Engineer
As a Design Engineer, you play a crucial role in translating complex Hyperloop technology into clear and engaging visual representations. Your primary responsibility is to create informative and aesthetically appealing visualizations that effectively communicate intricate engineering concepts. Next to these visualization responsibilities, the design engineers also undertake their own independent design project with the purpose of exploring new aspects of the Hyperloop concept.

Lead Scalability
As the lead scalability you are responsible for our research department. Besides also working on either the technical or socio-economic paper you manage the planning, steering and wellbeing of the department.

Full-scale Engineer - socio-economic
As a full-scale engineer you will become a person that knows everything about hyperloop implementation. Together with the rest of the department you choose a research topic that you will ultimately present at the European Hyperloop Week. With this research you tackle challenges that are faced when implementing a full-scale hyperloop system in the future.

Full-scale Engineer - technical
As a technical full-scale engineer, you will research the technical problems within hyperloop technology. Together with the rest of your department, you will contribute to advancing hyperloop towards a complete system. With your research you tackle challenges that are faced when implementing a full-scale hyperloop system in the future.

Lead Mechanical
As lead mechanical you are responsible for the mechanical department. Together with the mechanical engineers you will oversee designing and producing the different mechanical subsystems. As a lead, you are also responsible for the planning, finances, steering and wellbeing of the department. You are the link between management and your department and make sure that the integration with the other departments goes well. Besides this you are also the bridge between a large amount of partners and the team, making sure all materials are delivered on time.

Mechanical Engineer
As a mechanical engineer you are responsible for the critical components of a hyperloop pod. The six main tasks of the mechanical department are building the chassis, the emergency braking system, the vacuumbox, the track, the podcart and the aeroshell. Together with the rest of your department you make sure all subsystems of the hyperloop pod are integrated well.

Lead Propulsion
The lead propulsion is the leader of the propulsion department. Together with the propulsion magnets & control engineers you will be responsible for the design, production and testing of the Hyperloop motor. As a lead, you are also responsible for the planning, finances, steering and wellbeing of the department. You are the link between management and your department and make sure that the integration with the other departments goes well.

Magnets Engineer
As a magnets engineer you work on the configuration of the magnetic motor. You will design, simulate and optimize to achieve a motor that is both efficient, fast and scalable.

Control Engineer
As a control engineer, you work on the algorithms that control the motor. By writing and optimizing this custom algorithm you ensure that our pod moves forward in a stable way.

Lead Levitation
The lead levitation is the leader of the levitation department. Together with the levitation magnets, mechanical & control engineers you will be responsible for the design, production and testing of the levitation modules, as well as the safety wheels. As a lead, you are also responsible for the planning, steering and wellbeing of the department.

Magnets Engineer
As the levitation magnets engineer, you will design, simulate and produce the levitation modules for the Hyperloop system. You will work closely with the control engineers, as well as the rest of the team to design a system which meets all the requirements set for the pod. You will also design and produce the safety suspension system, which complements the levitation system.

Control Engineer
As a levitation control engineer, you will design, simulate and test the control system for the magnetic levitation of the pod. You will create an intricate design involving hardware and software, and optimize this to ensure the most stable levitation possible.

Lead powertrain
The lead powertrain is the leader of the powertrain department. Together with the other electrical engineers you will be responsible for the power distribution of the hyperloop pod. As a lead, you are also responsible for the planning, finances, steering and wellbeing of the department. You are the link between management and your department and make sure that the integration with the other departments goes well.

Electrical Engineer
As an Electrical Engineer in the Powertrain department, you design the hardware and software that is responsible for the distribution of power to every subsystem that requires power. Together with your department you can choose which aspects you will focus on. This can be hardware engineering and PCB design or embedded programming, or a combination of hardware and software.

Lead sense & control
As the lead of the sense & control department you are together with the hardware & software engineers responsible for the sensors and control of the pod. You work on the integration of the control systems with other departments.

Hardware Engineer
As a hardware engineer you will be responsible for designing the PCB's and testing the hardware that controls the pod. Also, you select the sensor and ensure that the important data is available for everyone.

Software Engineer
As a software engineer you write software that combines all subsystems. You are responsible for the communication between all subsystems and the ground station.

- Basic to strong programming skills (varying study backgrounds apply including current 1st year CSC students)
- Interest in embedded systems
In the year 2025-2026 the thermal department will be introduced. In near-vacuum conditions, traditional air cooling is not an option. Innovative solutions are required, demanding a creative approach to heat dissipation and thermal management.
Lead Thermal
As Lead thermal management you will be the leader of the thermal management department. Together with the other thermal engineers you will be responsible for the thermal management system of the pod. As a lead, you are also responsible for the planning, finances, steering and wellbeing of the department. You are the link between management and your department and make sure that the integration with the other departments goes well. As this will be the first year with a thermal department, as a lead you will play an essential role in forming the departments scope and focus.

Thermal Engineer
As a thermal engineer you will be simulating heat flow and determining the optimal cooling solution, possibly a large water-cooling system. Beyond simulations, you'll be involved in designing, testing, and refining thermal management systems. Prototyping and iterative experimentation will be key to achieving efficient and reliable cooling solutions.
